An employee was drilling holes in C-channel beams that were 16 feet long and weighed approximately 400 pounds. The employee placed three beams on saw horses. After drilling holes, he manually flipped them over. When the employee flipped the third beam it landed at an angle and fell off the saw horses and struck and fractured the employee's right leg and left ankle. The employee was hospitalized for surgery on his left ankle.

A carpenter was cutting 5-inch shims for a door jam project. While cutting on two saw horses, his saw kicked back and cut his left hand which was holding the wood board. He was hospitalized for a cut to his first and fifth digits and a severed tendon on the first digit that requires surgery.

The employee tried to redirect the caster to align it with the others. His right-hand pinky finger got caught between the hooch's scaffold leg and a steel saw horse, resulting in an amputation to the fourth digit on the right hand just above the first joint.
